The Ranch – (San Miguel de Allende)

(5/5) A facility that truly cares about their horses in a professional and loving manner. Katja, does thing by the book, and ensures utmost safety, comfort an then fun, which is in my opinion, the way it should be done. The horses are all well mannered, and Katja, is kind, honest, and will make sure you’re taken care of. The ranch is just about 15 minutes outside the center of San Miguel de Allende, and Uber worked perfectly for getting there. I work at a show barn in Oregon, and I would highly recommend Katja, and her ranch! Proper indeed.

(5/5) It was quite the highlight of our trip!!! We did a ride with our two little kids. The horses are amazingly kept and Katja and the staff are so pleasant and professional. The trail is gorgeous.

(5/5) I take lessons at The Ranch and love it. The owner, Katja, is an amazing instructor. The horses are well trained and fun to ride. The Ranch also offers great trail rides in the campo (countryside). Prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!

Whether you are a first-time rider, experienced rider or one who hasn’t ridden in years, you will truly treasure the moment. Owner and elite trainer, Katja Smith, has personally helped me to achieve my full potential while I continue to ride and board at The Ranch. Katja and her team have truly been there for me. Most of all they are safe and attentive with all the riders and horses. I’m giving them all a big shout out and THANK YOU!!! Highly recommend.

(5/5) I learned to stay on horses trail riding through the national forests in Kentucky, but I learned TO RIDE them with Katja here in San Miguel. This golden campo pony and I have surprised ourselves with what we have accomplished together at The Ranch SMA. There's NO WAY I ever thought I'd be wearing the white breeches on a Barbie doll horse in the middle of Mexico, but thanks to Katja and her encouragement and teaching skill, here we are!

(5/5) We took a horse riding lesson as a family and honestly, it was a perfect experience. Katja took the time to help us understand how we should handle the horses and what we should avoid. We felt completely safe the whole time. I don't know about other ranches around San Miguel offering horse riding, but I wholeheartedly recommend Katja and her team! Thanks!

Katja and her team are unquestionably the best Ranch in town, horses and riders could not be happier!
